How can I check whether a seller-provided guarantee applies to the purchase?

Distinguish the guarantee from a general return or cancellation policy. If buying for someone else, ask whether the arrangement affects who can make a request.

What should I check if checkout reports a payment problem?

Check any confirmation received after the apparent error. Clarify the payment and order states before taking an action that could create another purchase.

How can I decide whether this product meets my needs?

Check the applicable terms if you remain uncertain about suitability. Look at the complete description rather than only the most prominent marketing message.
